A monk from the Tantric college is  attaching one of the butter sculptures to a mast; the 3rd day of  Monlam Chenmo (the Great Prayer), in the monastery of Labrang (Yellow Hats). The sculptures made of yak butter and barley flour are only displayed at the end of the day to avoid the light of the sun, and pilgrims will come to see them and to pray deities until late in the night.
